Happy Easter

We had Easter dinner at Grandma Mosby's. The Easter Bunny is so sneaky, there were eggs hidden in every room, drawer, clock, you name it, there's an egg in there too. Even baby Zachery was following all the excitment trying to get himself an egg, cousin Noah (10 yrs) even shared a few of his...see I even have proof. He tries to act tough, but he still loves his cousins. Kristain, who is four, was all into the race. He quickly scanned every room and drawer. He made out like a bandit. It was so fun to spend Easter with everyone. We are so blessed to have such an amazing family. Thanks for putting up with us guys. After dinner we had to hit the road. The kids and Shawn, were so exhausted after a week packed full of fun they fell right to sleep for the first 2 and 1/2 hours. After being gone for a week it was nice to return home. Home again, home again jiggety jig!

Easter at the Watson's

Easter morning breakfast: bunny ears required! Easter morning the kids woke up at 6:30 am, they were so excited. After Ethan's party everyone was so tired we barely had enough energy left for Easter, so we talked Taryn (my sis) to sleeping at Amberly's (my other sis) so we could just get going and get to church on time, which was no easy feat. After my Mom got there, Dan and Darryl barbequed suasage, Shawn made the eggs (his specialty) and Mom made the waffles, and boy was it good. After breakfast the kids dove right into the easter egg hunt. It was pretty easy by that point because they had had about two hours to scope everything out. None the less, they loved all their presents...good job Easter bunny (whom I know I still owe money to). Then we were off to church, it was a great mtg.

The BIG party

We had a big reception after the baptism at Uncle Aaron and Aunt Amberly's house. We ate a fabulous dinner, the kids swam, rocked out, and enjoyed each others company. It was the perfect party. Ethan helped me with the party favors (in the first picture) and I had A of F cards made to go with the chocolates. Doesn't Ethan look so handsome. He is standing with his BFF cousin Becca, his uncle Danny, and Daddy.

more party

The clean up crew.

My amazing Aunt and Uncle, my cuz Hillary, and my sweet Grammy drove 5 and 1/2 hours to come to Ethan's baptism. They definitly deserve family of the year award. My uncle conducted the meeting, and they all helped me pull everything together. They arrived late Friday night, then had to leave soon after the baptism on Saturday to be at their ward Easter morning. My uncle is the bishop, and his counselors were going to be gone so he needed to be there. Quick trip, but it was great to see them.

more party

Ethan loved his present, AKA the "Comforter". Aunt Dale he loved it. As soon as he opened it he wraped himself up, saying sweet to himself. It is such a cute idea for a baptism.
We had the party cartered by our favorite restraunt called Rosas. The most amazing mexican ever. Although everyone didn't eat nearly enough. Shawn and I are going to be eating this for a long time.

The real party was upstairs, where they had rock band set up. You can see all my BFF's in the back ground. I miss you guys.

It's great to be 8!

Can you believe my baby is eight? I can't, what happened to the last 8 years? I swear you blink and you'll miss it. I love my Ethan. He has always been my tender hearted, innocent, playful little love who always wants to be hugged or sit on my lap. I hope he will always want to be affectionate, and will never be to cool for his Mom.
We took these pictures to display at his baptism, he was having fun posing for me. He looks happy, doesn't he? I always worry about him. Am I a good enough Mom, do I teach him enough, do I discipline him enough, or give him enough love. But I was so proud of him this weekend. He was a little nervous about getting baptized, maybe about going under the water, or everyone watching him, but he tried to be brave.
I love you Ethan, thanks for being you.

Dying Eggs

Happy Easter! Yesterday we had the Mosby's over for a little Easter fun! I just needed an excuse to order pizza...I love Barro's. The eggs turned out great, I went for a glitter kit this year. And will never do that again, I had glitter all over the floor, and myself. Everything was sparckally (sorry I can't spell, it's too late, can someone tell me how to do spell check on this thing?). The boy's played...who knows what, the Dad's played the fusball table, they had a score to settle, and the girls were in the kitchen (where we belong right, honey?) We talked mostly about books. Jamey is an avid reader, I think she reads more than me. When they know you by name at Barnes and Noble, that means you go there too much, or does that make you really really cool? I am going with the latter. I wish they knew my name. Call me next time you go Jamey, I will meet you there! It was so fun to see them. Ever since they switched wards we never see them. (Can you guys come back?) But I am going to change that, I love them. And the kids get so excited when they come, they adore them.

So yesterday I was the biggest dork, if I couldn't laugh at myself, then yesterday would have been a bad day. First I went to Wallmart, and forgot half of my groceries there. I hate how they have that spining bagger thing, one more reason not to shop there. Then I forgot to give my message (that I prepared) at my visiting teaching ladies houses. Then when I got to Ethan's school to pick him up, I remembered that I left the stove on, on the power boil, and I paniced. I was still early to his school, so I turned around and ran home to turn it off. Then when I got back it was to late, he was already sitting in the office waiting for me. Sorry Ethan, I promised I'd never do it again. Then I went to Wallmart to pick up my groceries that I left. Can you believe that they didn't put the frozen stuff back in the freezer, they just let it melt and go bad. But they let me get new packages. The lady gave me a funny look when she said "this is half your stuff on your receipt honey, you must have been in a hurry". To which I replied, "Um yes, thank you, and I am an idiot, thanks for pointing that out too".
Oh well, I was in a hurry all day. But it did me no good. So today I decided to take it nice and slow....And yes I forgot to pick up Ethan again. No JK I didn't forget, I just didn't realize how late it was. So he had to sit in the office and wait for me again. I am losing my marbles, if you didn't already know. Which I am sure you've all figured out already. You all still love me right, or is that why you love me?

Wednesday's

So what's my favorite day of the month you ask?? Well let me tell you...It's wednesday, and not just any wednesday...Maybe once a month after picking up Payson at therapy in Pardise Valley I go to Scottsdale, my little piece of Heaven, called the Keirland Common's. (I think thats what its called). But it is the best outdoor mall in the world, I promise you, you will not be disapointed. It has all my favorite stores, a couple really nice cafe's that are way to expensive to eat at, but smells intoxicating just walking past. And during the summer months they have a huge fountain that kids actually wear their bathing suits and run through.
First we go to Barnes and Noble, because nothing else is open yet. We stay there as long as possible, Hayden likes to play with the Thomas train, and then they have story time (hence the reason for wednesday). I swear I spend way to much money at the book store, but I can't help it I love that place. I am building my library, it's for a good cause. I have a membership there if anyone wants to use it, it's under my home phone. And they said it was okay for family to use it. Then I go to my absolute favorite store Anthropology. A store which I usually don't spend to much money at, because everything is too expensive anyway. But (shhhh) last time I was there I did pick out a few tops. What? I have a few special occasions coming up, I needed it! And then last time I was there I discovered they have a Smith and Hawken store. This is another beautiful store, if you haven't heard of it they sell stuff like pots and plants, and gorgeous garden decorations. Target has a Smith and Hawken line, which usually has some pretty amazing things, for a more reasonable price. Which brings me to the picture that I posted, I know your probably looking at it thinking what does this have to do with anything, and the answer is...nothing. I just saw them at Smith and Hawken and loved them, I had to buy them, it's my colors: brown and aqua or a light teal/ or robins egg (I don't know). Anyways I am not sure what I will do with them, maybe a shadow box frame??? Or on a shelf, I don't know stay tuned, I'll figure out something. This makes me miss my "dixie drive" bathroom, remember it?? It was painted this similar color (a paint chip from restoration hardware), maybe I will have to paint my guest bathroom that color too.
The Kierland Common's also has Crate and Barrel, Z gallery and Restoration Hardware, among many other fabulous stores, that are fabulously expensive. So you can imagine the pure bliss I always feel when I visit my piece of heaven. I always leave feeling rejuvenated, and inspired, and a little depressed since I cant buy everything, but it's worth it. Then the kids usually take a nap when we get home, because they are exhausted from all of the happy making! Oh how I love my Wednesday's.

Super Dog

So my Dog is Amazing. Okay well maybe being able to play tetherball doesn't make him amazing...maybe just really cool. Sorry this isn't a great clip of him playing because it's so short and surprise surprise Shawn was on his cell phone not really playing with him. But Andrews will hit it back and forth, really. And he is actually good at the game, except for when he gets over excited and bites the ball, yes that is why the ball looks deflated. Andrews can play soccer too. Shawn and I thought that maybe our dog was a genuis, but when we looked up tetherball'n dogs on utube, it turns out there are hundreds of dogs that can do this. Who knew? You think it's cool though, right?

Pulling tricks

Last week Shawn built Ethan this ramp. Ethan loves to ride on it in his roller blades. But yesterday Shawn got it out for Hayden to try out his new bike'n skills. Granted Hayden had only been riding his bike for... ummm 15 minutes. But it's never to early to start doing tricks, even if he can't start going on the bike without a little help. No matter. Hayden loves riding the two wheeler. He insisted on riding again as soon as he got home from preschool- he even tried to convince me that he needed to stay home from school to practice. Guess who won that battle!

Ethan was jumping off the ramp, and doing well until he crashed. It was a good crash too, all scraped up on his hip, hands, elbows, and knees. At least he was wearing his helmet. Of course it hurt to bad to eat dinner, Ya sure Ethan. -As soon as he heard we were having dessert, after FHE, he ate his dinner. Chocolate pudding pie makes everything feel better!
