Cousins

This weekend my in laws came to visit and brought Shawn's nephews. We had the best time together. Friday night Grandma and Papa picked up my kids and Jamie's 2 boys and spent the night at Lake Pleasent in their RV. I guess all the boys stayed up until 11, then woke up at 3 AM, and then again at 6 am. YIKES. I think they were a little excited about being together! I am so glad I wasn't there! But they had so much fun, they will always remember that, don't ya think? They all get along really well. On Saturday we took them to the skate park, and then to the big adventure park. Thank goodness for this park and Barros, I don't know what we would do with out them. For the rest of the weekend we pretty much just hung out at my house. Shawn and Terry put in some spot lights for the trees in the backyard, which I was very excited about! The backyard is getting closer to being done. Ya right who am I kidding. Its the biggest projects that are left: filling in all the rocks. UGG, I am still sore from doing the rock in the front yard! All well its not the results, its the process that matters, right? Something like that!
Anyway thanks so much for coming, we love you guys. I think you should buy that house, and be closer!

goulish fun

Some friends hanging out at our house. Sorry I didn't get a good pic of everyone that was there. Whats that camera lady's problem, I need to fire her! Next time I will do better! Everyone was a good sport dressing up! Some of you went all out, I was way impressed with the creativity this year! Shawn was supposed to be a magican, but that silly guy lost his bowler hat, and he wouldn't wear his cool wire mustache, so he just looked like a wimpy vampire with no fangs, at least he made a cool magic wand. I was the bunny (that he pulled out of his hat...get it?). I know what a cop out. All I wore were bunny ears. But on Halloween we are going to switch costumes, make him be the bunny, and I will wear his mustache...what? I paid good money for that! JK! We had a good time having everyone over, thanks for coming!

just wanna have fun

Aren't these things super cool. We couldn't let the kids have all the fun, so us Mums had to try it out! Trust me they are harder then they look!
4 adults, 3 strollers, 6 kids, one teeny tiny elevator: priceless. In pic in bottom: Little L man caught red handed pushing the open door button, no wonder we were standing there forever waiting for the doors to close!
Last week we made a trip to the Children's Museum with Hayden's preschool group. Thanks Taryn for the coupon, you saved everyone a bundle!! We had a blast, it was crazy busy, like always, but that was okay. I am not sure who had more fun the Moms or the kids?

Woo HOO!

Here is Ethan's scary "I am attacking you!" face! See it, his lip curled up, baring his teeth!
Getting ready for a kick, ...right to the gut. The kid was down on the floor moaning for his Mama, he didn't see it coming! Alright not really, but he could do it!
Hayden was running, and jumping in front of the studio for like three hours straight, he didn't even make it out of the parking lot! This is at dinner after the test, he was out cold for the rest of the night. He didn't even know we went to dinner.
Tonight was Ethan's Sr. Red belt test. And man did he nail it! The Master came up afterwards to tell us he did a great job, and that he worked the hardest tonight then he's ever seen! Then he said he will have his black belt by April! Like music to my ears! That would be several months early!! So put it on your calenders folks, cause we are going to have a party like you've never seen! Go Ethan!

Our piece of Heaven

Here is the driver. Quite a handsome one too, I might add! All summer the water has been like bath water! But as it starts to cool off the water cools off really fast. This last time we went the water was kinda cold, and hard to get into. You get used to it though, but we wont be able to get in for much longer with out getting hypothermia! So we are trying to go as much as we can before that happens!
Boating has been so awesome for our family. Its the best family activity for us. No matter what kind of week we are having, or if the boys are squabbling, as soon as we get out on the lake all that stuff disappears. And everyone just enjoys each other! Its amazing, its almost like magic. There is something magical about being a part of nature, the blue skies, and the lull of the wakes. It is gorgeous out there! Its our little piece of heaven! What is your family's piece of heaven?

Boarding

Here is Ethan shredding. He loves wake boarding, he looks forward to it all week! I think Shawn likes watching him even more then he likes boarding. He is quite the proud Daddy! Ethan's biggest trick is going forever, but when he is feeling brave he will jump the wake, and get a little air! Go E-dawg!
Here is the beautiful Nikki hanging out with us on the boat with her gang, while Patrick was out of town!
The boys love to hang out in the front of the boat. Ethan and Hayden have fallen asleep there a number of times. Jake was tearing it up out there, too! He looked like a natural, is that kid good everything!
Our flag boy! Hold it up high! -There was no one else out there, we practically have the lake to ourselves, so don't worry guys!
Go Nikki!

Ethan the Shreder

By request here is some of Ethan's moves. No pressure watching the whole thing, it is kinda long, OK really long. Then the lovely Filmer missed his best trick, what? I was busy cheering! Sorry. Enjoy!
